Removal & Copyright Requests

The corpora hold publicly posted material. Requests about that material are evaluated as a documented process, each under its own standard — not deletion on demand, and not silence. A verified removal holds in every later snapshot. All channels below reach [email protected].

Withdrawn at the source

When you withdraw your own post at its origin — the tweet comes down, the page 404s, the account goes private — you do not have to petition us or prove who you are. However we learn of it — your note, anyone's note, our own refresh — we verify it against the source, and from then on the material is suppressed in every snapshot we serve. What remains is a tombstone: a dated record that something stood here and was withdrawn. The tombstone records the withdrawal; it does not reproduce the withdrawn material. We keep the fact of removal because an archive that silently rewrites its own past is worth nothing. We honor deletion; we do not engineer amnesia.

Copyright notices

If you believe content we serve infringes your copyright, send a notice including: identification of the copyrighted work; the URL or record identifier of the material on our services; your name, address, and email; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.

Privacy and removal requests

Authors of publicly posted content can request removal of their own material: include a link or record identifier and enough to verify authorship. Verified author requests are honored, including in every later dataset snapshot. For personal information posted about you by others, identify the content and your relationship to it: verification establishes standing, and the applicable privacy standard decides what comes down — being public does not place material outside privacy law.

Corrections

If material we serve misstates its source — wrong attribution, wrong timestamp, mangled text — identify the record and the evidence and we will correct or annotate it. Provenance fields exist so this class of error is checkable.
